Warren K. Hastings

Warren has spent over thirty years at the heart of global institutional asset management and discretionary portfolio management — building, leading and transforming investment businesses at leading global asset managers, private banks and wealth managers across Europe and Asia.

His career began at Schroder Investment Management in London in 1995, where he managed Asian equity mandates for institutional clients before relocating to Singapore to lead the transfer and integration of a Pan-Asian equity business.

From Schroders, Warren moved to Standard Chartered Private Bank in Singapore, where he established and led a newly created Group Portfolio Management function — integrating an acquired discretionary investment platform and designing the full end-to-end investment, governance and risk management frameworks that underpinned its investment process.

The following decade was spent at Credit Suisse, where Warren rose to Managing Director. Leading the APAC investment management business from Singapore, he transformed the business, significantly growing discretionary AuM and turning the regional platform into a profitable, award-winning operation. He subsequently assumed broader responsibility as Head of International Locations from Zurich, unifying investment processes, governance, and group investment delivery across four European DPM platforms.

His most recent executive role was as Managing Director, Group Head of Portfolio Management & Co-Head of Investments at Quintet Private Bank, where he led a large, complex, full-service discretionary portfolio management platform across five European booking centres. During that time he restored flagship strategies to top-quartile performance, architected a major Target Operating Model transformation, and integrated a major strategic partner's investment capabilities and solutions across the group's full investment process and offering.

Many of these change programmes Warren conceived and drove independently; others were delivered in partnership with leading external consulting firms, with Warren serving as executive sponsor and internal lead — a working fluency on both sides of the consultant–client relationship that now informs Quinarius’s work alongside the consulting community. Throughout his career, Warren has chaired or sat on nine investment and governance committees across four firms and three continents — most recently co-chairing Quintet Private Bank’s Group Investment Committee — accumulating deep multi-jurisdictional regulatory experience spanning the UK, Europe, Singapore and Hong Kong.

Quinarius was founded to channel that depth of experience into independent advisory work — helping wealth managers and fintechs navigate the complexity of discretionary investment management with the benefit of genuine practitioner insight.
